THINGS I AM GOING TO MISS ABOUT EGYPT:
( in english for my non-norwegian friends to enjoy! )

- My friends, both egyptian and non-egyptian.
- My Jenny, who has been a great friend and a good companionship through the life and hassle of Egypt! Thank you sweetie!

- Ueli and Casey, and our fantastic trip to the desert!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I AM ALSO GOING TO MISS:
- buying lunch for 1 pound (ca. 1,20 kr)
- class - yeah, i am actually gonna miss learning Arabic!
- Eating out on a restaurant almost every day...
- Sheesha...
- My apartment, and the area around it! Mohandiseen <3
- being able to take the taxi everywhere without being ruined!
- OTLOB - ordering almost anything u want and get it delivered to your door... fantastic!(http://www.otlob.com/)
- Drinkies - gonna miss those black bags delivered to our frontdoor :D
- The Insha'allah mentality - Insha'allah, the dont worry-be happy mentality and that anything is possible, its just gonna take some time... hehe...
- that everything is cheap and that you can bargain almost everywhere.
- the possibility to go to dahab. <3>
- "theres a party in zamalek? oh.. ok.. lets go.. " :D
- the metro for 1 pound and the female cart! very good idea!!!
- the prayers. it is actually very soothing...
- Sun and warm weather, chilling out on our balcony with homework and cold juice!
- Juice-stands and freshly squeezed fruitjuices!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I AM NOT GOING TO MISS:
- tss...tss... on the streets... And "welcome to egypt"...
- taxidrivers asking the same 3 questions EVERY time: 1. where are you from 2. are you married 3. Want to marry me?
- Egyptian time - "yeah... 4 o clock... oh.. you mean 7 o clock???"
- having to cover up and wear a scarf even though it is summer and 35 degrees outside!
- the air, the pollution and the smog.
- TRAFFIC - i am not gonna miss the trafficjams, the honking or the ridicolous amounts of hours spent in a taxi...
- crossing the street. risking my life every day by crossing the streets...
- the extremely male-dominated society - where are all the egyptian girls??
- MOSQUITOS! i must have about 50 bites on now...
- Sugar in every thing you order! No, a long island ice tea doesn't contain sugar and grenadine!
- Not being able to walk on the sidewalks.
- Not being able to drink the water from the tap.
- Having to think about baksheesh all the time (tip).

Se video under.

Konafa with cheese!

Gulvet i moskeen.

Alexandria

Båthavnen i Alexandria..
